Care and services at The Maternal Village that your plan may help cover.
Your benefits may cover more than you think
Many of the families who walk through our door have extended health benefits they haven't fully used. Depending on your plan and your practitioner's credentials, those benefits may help you access the support you need through pregnancy, postpartum, parenthood and beyond.
We've put this page together to help you understand what may be covered, what to ask your insurer, and how we can help along the way.
What your extended health benefits may cover
Depending on your plan and your practitioner's credentials, your extended health benefits may cover:

Some of these services may qualify under specific benefits or a Wellness Spending Account instead, depending on your employer's plan.
Health and Wellness Spending Accounts
Have a Health Spending Account (HSA)? An HSA may help cover eligible medical expenses, or the portion your extended benefits don't reimburse.
Have a Wellness Spending Account? Some employers offer a Wellness Spending Account for services that fall outside traditional health coverage. Depending on your plan, this may include services like doula support or sleep consultations.
HSA and Wellness Spending Account rules are different, so always confirm which services qualify before you book.
Before you book: questions to ask your insurer
A quick call or a look at your benefits portal can save you surprises later. Ask about:
The specific service. Is it covered under your plan, and under which category?
Practitioner qualifications. Does your plan require a specific designation or registration?
Coverage limits. How much is covered per visit or per year, and how much have you already used?
Referral requirements. Do you need a doctor's referral or note before your appointment?
Tip: Keep this list handy, or take a screenshot to bring to your call.
We're happy to help
Need practitioner details to check your coverage? Your insurer may ask for your practitioner's full name, credentials or registration details. Send us a message and we'll share what you need, so you can book with confidence.
